Optoma has released two new UHD 4K ultra short throw projector, Optoma CinemaX D2 Smart and Optoma CInemaX D2, why the former one is labled as “smart”? What is the difference betweent these two laser TV?

Optoma D2 vs Optoma D2+| What's the Difference?

Optoma D2 Smart and Optoma D2 all has a laser light source with a maximum brightness output of 3,000 lumens. Its intelligent system allows users to wirelessly cast to the projector and control it with a smartphone app or voice commands.

Their appearacne looks the same, measures 576 x 383 x 130 mm and has a range of HDMI, USB-A and audio ports. Both of the new CinemaX D2/ D2 Smart are capable of delivering images of up to 120-inch with an extremely high contrast ratio claiming up to 1,800,000:1.

Also both new CinemaX projectors are capable of producing the HDR10 and HLG HDR images and deliver ultra low gaming lag times of 16ms with 4K/60Hz sources and 4ms with 1080p/240Hz.

As you can see, Optoma CinemaX D2 Smart and Optoma CInemaX D2 share the same specs and features. The difference between them is that Optoma CinemaX D2 Smart has included a TV stick in the box. So that you can get access to the online streaming content via pluging the TV donggle in the HDMI port of the projector.
