Generally speaking, the differences between laser light source and Ultra-high pressure mercury lamp is lifespan. Both of the two kinds of light source can produce high enough brightness. Ultra-high pressure mercury lamps have less costs but require regular replacement, because the lamp will dim across the time, badly impacting the image output. However, laser light source is more stable and have much longer lifespan. Probably other malfunctions will happen to a laser projector before the laser light source failed you.

  • Eye comfort

Dangbei Mars Pro got the TÜV Rheinland Low Blue Light Certification, proves its ability of reduces eyestrain by diffusing light without compromising picture quality. TÜV Rheinland Low Blue Light Test is widely adopted by display industry to recognize if a product is feature with eye care.

Dangbei Mars Pro and LG HU810P CineBeam and BenQ TK850 adopt the DLP technology via 0.47”DMD chip. DLP technology are preferred by more and more projector manufacturers. DLP has the merits including longer lifespan and relatively low costs. One shortcoming of DLP is the rainbow effect may exist, but it depends, for people who are highly susceptible to rainbow effect, DLP projectors are excellent choices.
