Panasonic Connect, a subsidiary of Panasonic, has officially introduced the PT-RQ45K, a cutting-edge 3-Chip DLP projector designed for commercial use. Touted as the world’s smallest and brightest projector in its class, the RQ45K sets a new benchmark for performance and compact design in the large-venue projection space.

Compact Size, Massive Brightness
Measuring just 598 x 353 x 780 mm and weighing 70 kg (155 lbs), the PT-RQ45K delivers a remarkable 40,000 ANSI lumens of brightness—making it a standout option for arenas, live events, and immersive installations where size, brightness, and portability are crucial.
The projector uses Panasonic’s multi-laser light source system, which combines dual blue lasers and a single red laser to deliver vivid, high-contrast imagery. According to Panasonic, this setup ensures consistently high performance whether operating in Dynamic Mode or at standard power levels.
4K Resolution and High Frame Rate Support
The PT-RQ45K supports a native 4K resolution (3840 x 2400 pixels) and is compatible with 1080p at 240Hz, making it ideal for high-speed content playback. Its flexible throw ratio ranges widely depending on the lens used—from 0.364:1 with the ET-D75LE95 lens to 13.8:1 with the ET-D3LET80, allowing for easy integration into various projection environments, from short-throw setups to long-distance installations.

Pro-Level Features and Connectivity
A 5-inch color LCD display on the projector helps simplify setup and pre-show checks. In addition to its core imaging capabilities, the PT-RQ45K also features:
- Real-Time Tracking Projection Mapping – for dynamic, interactive visuals
- Gradation Smoother – for seamless color transitions
- Black Level Correction – for improved contrast and uniformity across multi-projector setups
The projector also includes support for the Intel® SDM (Smart Display Module) standard for slot-based expansion, and comes equipped with 12G-SDI inputs for high-bandwidth video connectivity.
Global Launch Timeline
Panasonic plans to release the PT-RQ45K in Europe in Q3 2026 (July to September). The product is also marked as “coming soon” in North America, signaling a broader global rollout.
