If your remote control of the BenQ HT2050A projector doesn’t work, try to check the following solutions below to solve the problem.

Check whether the battery is drained. Replace both of the batteries with new ones.

Check whether there is an obstacle between the BenQ HT2050A projector and the remote control.

Check the position and distance. If the distance between the projector and the remote control is too far, the remote will not be responsive. The distance between the remote control and the sensor(s) should not exceed 8 meters (~ 26 feet).

Check the angle. The remote control must be held at an angle within 30 degrees perpendicular to the projector’s IR remote control sensor(s) to function correctly. Clean the IR receiver on the BenQ HT2050A projector with a soft cloth. There are 2 IR receivers on the top panel and front panel of the BenQ HT2050A projector correspondingly.
