From January 9th to 12th, the International Consumer Electronics Show (CES), the world’s largest consumer electronics event, took place in Las Vegas. Collaborating with semiconductor giant MediaTek, SDMC supported Dangbei, a leading brand in the smart large-screen ecosystem, in launching the world’s first Google TV™ smart laser projector—Dangbei Atom. This collaborative effort, featuring MediaTek’s MT9630 projection chip, was showcased at CES 2024, signaling Dangbei’s commitment to expanding its overseas market presence and delivering an efficient and premium projection experience to users worldwide.
Dangbei Atom projector is powered by MediaTek’s MT9630 projection chip, boasting four robust ARM Cortex-A53 cores within its CPU. This setup enables smooth operation of the latest Google TV operating system, supporting official content from platforms like Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, Disney+, and more. Users can effortlessly enjoy a vast array of applications, games, music, movies, and TV shows. Equipped with a 0.33-inch DLP DMD display chip, it supports native 1080P output, and its built-in laser engine delivers a brightness of up to 1,200 lumens, ensuring clear and bright visuals even in daylight. The projector also features HDR10 and HDR10+ high dynamic range decoding technologies, enhancing color richness, and includes high-quality speakers and Dolby audio for an immersive audiovisual experience.
SDMC’s Senior Vice President, Yan Zhikang, expressed their honor at gaining Dangbei’s trust and providing a flagship Google TV smart projector solution. The close collaboration with MediaTek is expected to boost Dangbei’s sustained growth in the smart projector market, offering users an outstanding home large-screen multimedia entertainment experience.

Beyond the already launched 1080P Google TV smart laser projector, Dangbei plans to introduce the first 4K DLP smart laser projector with Google TV system integration.
