How to Set up Key Lock on ViewSonic X1 Projector

The ViewSonic X1 projector has several built-in security features to prevent unwanted operations. This tip will introduce the way to set up key lock on the ViewSonic X1.

Locking the Control Keys

With the control keys on the projector locked, you can prevent your settings from being changed accidentally (by children, for example). When the Panel Key Lock is On, no control keys on the projector will operate except Power.

1. Press MENU or Settings to open the OSD Menu and go to: SYSTEM > Panel Key Lock.
2. Press Up/Down to select On.
3. Select Yes and press ENTER/OK to confirm.
4. To release panel key lock, press and hold right button on the projector for 3 seconds. You can also use the remote control to enter the SYSTEM > Panel Key Lock menu and select Off.

Now your projector is safe from accidental setting changes, or mal operation by children.
