For some projector novices, the first problem they come across is how to install their projector. This article will introduce the 4 mainstream projection options:  Rear, Front Ceiling, and Rear Ceiling.

1 Front

This is the most common way to place a projector, which is quick to install and mobile.  When installed at this position, the projector is directly in front of the screen, and the audience and the projector are on the same side of the projection screen.

2 Rear

Rear projection requires a dedicated screen special for rear projection use. When positioned at this position, the projector is at the back of the screen. The audience and the projector are on different sides of the projection screen. This installation requires much more space than front projection while can reduce the disturbance of ambient light.

3 Front Ceiling

Front ceiling means that the projector is hanged and mounted at the ceiling. In this way, the audience and the projector are on the same side of the projection screen, which saves space.

4 Rear Ceiling

Rear Ceiling Projection

Rear ceiling also requires a dedicated screen special for rear projection use. When installed in this way, the projector is hanged and mounted at the ceiling, the back of the screen. The audience and the projector are on different sides of the projection screen.
