1.Screen gain
Simply put, it is the ratio of the brightness reflected by the projection screen to our naked eyes and the brightness reflected by the white wall under the condition that the brightness of the projector and the ambient light remains unchanged. The white wall can be seen as a curtain with a gain of 1.
Generally, the gain of the projection screen is between 0.9-2.0. Theoretically, the higher the gain of the projection screen, the brighter the image projected by the projector.
The low-gain screen is more realistic, but it is easily affected by ambient light; while the high-gain screen is brighter and less affected by the environment and external light.
For example, if a projector with 800 lumens is projected on a screen with a gain of 1, the screen brightness is 800 lumens, and if it is projected on a screen with a gain of 2, the screen brightness is 1600 lumens.
For example, a white wall can also be regarded as a ready-made curtain. It is relatively flat, with a gain of 1.0 and a large viewing angle. The only disadvantage is that if your wall is not pure white, it will affect the color reproduction of the projection screen and color scale performance.
2. Viewing angle
When we look at the centerline of the screen, the brightness at this time is the highest, but when we look away from the centerline of the screen, the brightness will decrease. Simply put, we can see the side angle of the screen clearly without sitting on the front of the screen. The projected content can also be seen from the front.
Generally speaking, the gain of the projection screen is inversely proportional to the viewing angle. The greater the gain, the smaller the viewing angle.
3. Color reproduction
It is the screen to restore the accuracy of the color of the picture projected by the projector. In terms of color reproduction,
