Samsung made a significant announcement at CES, introducing new TVs, soundbars, and four brand-new additions to its Premiere projector lineup, including the world’s first wireless 8K projector.

The Premiere 8K employs a tri-color laser DLP display unit, boasting a brightness of 4,000 lumens. It supports Wi-Fi 7 on the wireless One Connect Box, enabling seamless wireless transmission of 8K videos to the projector within a 10-meter range. Impressively, it can project a 150-inch image from a distance of just 12 inches.

Featuring an integrated 8.2.2 Dolby Atmos sound system with a robust 100W power output, the Premiere 8K supports Sound-on-Screen technology. This innovation allows the sound to emanate from the projector and move dynamically to the screen area, providing a more realistic and immersive viewing experience.

Concerned about a lack of 8K content? The Premiere 8K comes equipped with built-in AI upscaling technology, allowing it to enhance 4K content to the impressive resolution of 8K. Additionally, it includes features like automatic keystone correction, autofocus, side-leg height adjustment, and a protective cover for the lens during shutdown.

Samsung also introduced the new Premiere 5, claiming it to be the world’s smallest tri-color laser ultra-short-throw projector. Measuring a mere 8 inches in length and 5.5 inches in both width and height, with a weight of only 3.7 pounds, this projector can project a 100-inch image from a distance of 17 inches from the wall. It shares similar advanced features such as automatic keystone correction, autofocus, and color balancing.

The upgraded Premiere 7 and Premiere 9, compared to their predecessors LSP7T and LSP9T, boast increased brightness and come equipped with the Quantum 4K processor, supporting features like Dolby Atmos.

Samsung’s entire 2024 projector lineup introduces a new feature called Lightwarp. This feature allows any object or surface to become an interactive display. Samsung claims this is the first application of projection mapping technology in consumer-level products. It enables users to project content onto any surface, including customizable dashboards with widgets like clocks and weather. Users can interact with the projection by clicking on it, facilitating activities like typing or gaming.

In addition, the 2024 Samsung projector series will feature the Gaming Hub functionality, allowing users to play thousands of games without the need for a gaming console. This marks a significant step forward in making gaming more accessible through projectors.
