BenQ has announced the release of the HT6550L, a home theater projector customized for high-end audio-visual rooms in a league of their own. According to the official statement, this is a new-generation laser home cinema projector that strives to deliver an immersive 4K HDR viewing experience by achieving the perfect balance between dynamic black levels, precise light control, and true-to-life colors.

Unlike most home projectors and compact models, the BenQ HT6550L is specifically designed for high-end audio-visual rooms with depths exceeding 5 meters and professional-grade darkroom viewing environments. It can deliver DCI/THX digital cinema industry standards on a 150-inch 1.0 standard gain screen while covering 100% of the DCI-P3 wide color gamut and providing color accuracy at a reference level (ΔE<2).

The HT6550L features a new generation SSI Dynamic Black full-zone dynamic black level technology, which allows the laser source to achieve a range adjustment from 100% to 40%, emphasizing contrast when switching between scenes. Additionally, the HT6550L uses a smaller aperture setting, ranging from F2.1 to F3, on an all-glass optical lens. This, combined with exclusive deep black coating technology, effectively reduces internal light diffusion, ensuring dark scene black levels while maintaining purity and detail in image quality.

Equipped with mature laser solid-state light source technology, the HT6550L boasts a brightness of 2800 lumens. In P3 wide color gamut mode, its brightness can reach up to 1900 lumens. The HT6550L also supports an HDR10+ viewing mode, which can automatically enable the P3 wide color gamut mode based on HDR content.

Users can directly operate the 1.6X motorized zoom lens via the remote control, enabling them to adjust the screen size and focus precisely. Within a 5-meter distance, it can project a 150-inch screen, within 6.7 meters a 200-inch screen, and within 10 meters, it can achieve a massive 300-inch screen.

In conclusion, the BenQ HT6550L caters to the discerning needs of high-end audio-visual rooms, delivering exceptional image quality, precise light control, and a true cinematic experience for those who demand nothing but the best.
