Samsung Electronics has officially launched The Premiere 5 projector in South Korea. First unveiled at CES 2025 in Las Vegas earlier this year, this 4K laser ultra-short throw (UST) projector is now available for purchase in the Korean market.

One of the standout features of The Premiere 5 is its unique touch interaction capability, making it a versatile option for business, education, and home entertainment settings. Users can interact directly with the projected image using their fingers, much like operating a large touchscreen.
Equipped with a triple-laser ultra-short throw system, The Premiere 5 delivers 4K resolution and can project a screen up to 100 inches diagonally from just 43 centimeters (approximately 17 inches) away. Its flexible design allows it to project onto virtually any flat surface, including floors, screens, tables, or walls.

The projector integrates an infrared camera and infrared laser module to accurately track hand and finger movements. By simply touching the projection surface, users can perform actions such as tapping and using pinch gestures to zoom in or out on images and web pages. Additionally, The Premiere 5 automatically detects ambient lighting conditions and adjusts brightness, color, and contrast accordingly, ensuring optimal picture quality without requiring manual fine-tuning.
On the software side, The Premiere 5 runs Tizen OS 9.0 with the One UI interface, giving users easy access to a wide range of popular music and video streaming apps. Through the built-in SmartThings app, users can also control their smart home devices directly from the projector.
In South Korea, The Premiere 5 is priced at 1.99 million KRW (approximately USD 1,450).
