Optoma UHD35STx vs Optoma UHD35: What’s the Difference?

The newly released Optoma UHD35STx is an updated version of its previous model Optoma UHD35. The biggest difference from these two projector, as you can tell from their name, is that Optoma UHD35STx is a short throw 4K projector, and Optoma UHD35 is a regualr projector.

Both of Optoma UHD35 and Optoma UHD35STx features a single 0.47-inch DLP chip with 4K (3840×2160) resolution. Their light output are all up tp 3,600 lumens.

They are all 3D compatible and HDR compatible, they all won’t support lens shift. they all offer lamp life of up to 10,000 hours when used in Eco mode. There is another slight difference between them, which is that Optoma UHD35 supports 1.1x lens zoom (though it’s so small that can be ignortant), Optoma UHD35STx has a fixed lens without any lens zoom function.

Therefore, Optoma UHD35STx and Optoma UHD35 are basically offers same specs, but if you need a short throw projector, you definitely should go for Optoma UHD35STx.
