Hisense has officially launched the world’s first 1000-nit laser TV—the X1 Ultra—during its latest online product release event. As the flagship model in the new X1 series, this groundbreaking product brings cinema-grade projection technology into the home, marking a significant leap forward in the evolution of home entertainment.
The Hisense X1 Ultra is the first laser TV to incorporate core projection components typically found in IMAX-class theaters, including dual MCL39 laser light engines and a 14.5° SST-architecture DMD chip. This combination delivers stunning visual clarity, high brightness, and immersive cinematic quality right in your living room.
To tackle the common challenge of ambient light interference in home environments, Hisense developed the Nano Spectrum Selective Screen Pro, a result of over five years of R&D. After more than 1,100 tests and 820 film iterations, the screen achieves an impressive 1000 nits of consistent full-screen brightness, nearly double that of conventional LCD TVs, which typically peak at 500 nits. The screen’s ambient light rejection (ALR) rate reaches 87%, ensuring vivid, clear images whether you’re watching during the day or at night.
Designed for real homes, the X1 Ultra features a foldable 120-inch screen, which packs down to just 1.7 meters for easier transport and setup. Its ultra-lightweight build—just 20kg, roughly one-fifth the weight of a comparable LCD TV—along with zero-gap wall mounting allows seamless integration into any modern living space.
Sound is just as impressive as the visuals. The X1 Ultra is the first TV to offer a true 9.1.4 channel audio system, complete with screen-sounding technology. Four built-in speaker drivers embedded in the screen, combined with ceiling and side-firing audio, lift the soundstage by 40 cm, aligning perfectly with your seated ear level. It is also the first TV in the world to be Hi-Res Audio certified, supporting 96kHz/24-bit master-level audio decoding and offering access to a massive library of high-resolution music tracks.
The X1 Ultra is the only home display certified for professional-grade viewing, supporting HDR10+, Dolby Vision, and IMAX Enhanced decoding formats. It’s also future-ready with Wi-Fi 7 capability, enabling speeds of up to 30Gbps, and includes a built-in 1TB NAS cloud drive, ensuring ultra-fast downloads and massive storage capacity for all your media.
During the launch, Hisense also teased the upcoming 139-inch and 150-inch versions of the X1 series, set for release later this year. The 150-inch model, with a screen size equivalent to half a standard badminton court, will push the boundaries of home cinema even further.
